Join us at the temple for a joint celebration of Vesak, or Buddha Day, which is for a celebration of the birth, life, and death of the Buddha. This joint event between Urban Dharma NC, Great Tree Zen Women's Temple, and the Zen Center of Asheville on June, 6th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Urban Dharma's temple in West Asheville.

​All are welcome! It is not required that you call yourself a Buddhist or that you have experience with Buddhist practices. This will simply be a time to celebrate in community a life and the teachings that have brought so much peace, joy, compassion, and clarity into the world. There will also be a presentation of the recent pilgrimage that members of the local/international sangha took to Bhutan.

Please plan to arrive early to settle in and find your seat. And if you want to bring some offerings, see if you can find some flowers—even better if clipped from your own or your communities gardens.
